Example of the process of detection of the thickness of the lines. For each peak (in the image only the first peak is treated as example), the distance between the two points of intersection with the fixed threshold is computed. The distances extracted are used in a K-means clustering stage, with two clusters, to obtain a measure of the thickness of the lines of the whole staff.
